Thea shell pool is a delicate undertaking, which requires calling on professionals. At Aboral, the installation of a polyester pool shell is done in just a few days. Here's what the work involves.

What are the steps for installing a shell pool?

Step 1: Installing the pool

The choice of theideal location for the shell pool is made according to several parameters including the direction of the winds, the sunshine, the nature of the ground, the accessibility of machines for the work, etc.

Step 2: Tracing

After installing the pool shell, the first step is to mark out the pool on the ground to help the excavator who will do the excavation.

Step 3: Earthworks

This involves making the hole that will receive the pool. Depending on the complexity of the project, the excavation is done with manual or mechanical equipment.

Step 4: Creating the excavation base

This step allows you to level the surface on which the pool shellwill be placed. To do this, the bottom of the excavation is covered with geotextile felt, then gravel.

Step 5: Delivery and installation of the pool shell

The hull is generally delivered by truck with its self-propelled crane. The basin is placed directly at the bottom of the excavation. After the operation, the basin must absolutely be level.

Step 6: Backfilling and installing the piping

To ensure the stability of the pool shell, a peripheral backfilling of the pool is carried out with gravel and then the piping is installed.

Step 7: Installation of concrete belt and laying of coping stones

The installation of the coping is optional, but often represents the finishing touch to the pool. To ensure the support of the coping, it is necessary to create a concrete belt.

Step 8: Commissioning

After cleaning, connecting the filtration equipment, filling the pool shell with water and final checks, the pool can be used.
